Why should you Google?
  • Google doesn't waste my (or my community's) time to answer the same question for the th time. By googling what information you can, you save our patience (and thus our willingness to share our expertise) for when you could actually really use it, instead of squandering it away like yesterday's beer money.
  • Google lets you find information on countless subjects — tutorials and documentation for new languages and APIs, tools and utilities to help your development and debugging, bug notices, fixes, and workarounds. As a programmer, one of the most important things you'll be doing is learning about new systems in order to interact with them. You cannot become a good programmer without knowing how to use a search engine effectively, and there's no time to practice like the present.
